A PÒYÒ
Flè a Pòyò, named after the banana flower, is an artistic-educative space manifested by and for Afro-descendant women affected by the public health crisis of chlordecone in Martinique and Guadeloupe. Flè a Pòyò is seeking for a loud, joyful, reflective and collective mending; a generous (un) learning at the intersection of : body reclamation, reparative practices, communality, surrealism, refusal of silence and a sparkling-joy.
The architecture of Flè A Pòyò is tender, welcoming, and restorative, and committed to seeing and valuing every being with equal care, regardless of the extent or nature of the impact of chlordecone on them.
